Who are Curious Wines?

We’re a family-owned business, based in Cork city, Ireland, and operate online via this website and our main consumer site We have been supplying Irish wine lovers online since 2008 and import all our wines directly from vineyards and winemakers all over the world. We’re specialists in wine—it’s all we do—and we’re pretty good at it.

Do you operate online only?

No, we also retail from our Cork warehouse and have a wholesale division through which we supply bars, restaurants and hotels throughout Ireland. All online orders are picked, packed and dispatched from our wine warehouse in Cork.

Do your prices include VAT?

Yes they do. A VAT invoice can be issued to a company name upon request.

What’s the minimum purchase?

We have no minimum purchase. You can check out with a one bottle gift pack or multiple cases.

How much is delivery?

We provide free delivery on orders to individual addresses over €100 in value anywhere in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. A small delivery charge of €10 will apply to cover our costs on orders less than that.

Can I get my gifts delivered to multiple delivery addresses?

You can choose to send multiple gifts to multiple addresses via our Checkout. To do this, go to Checkout and click on Choose or Add Addresses. Here you can add as many addresses as you want, selecting which gifts are sent where and to whom. You can also add individual gift messages. A delivery charge of €10 will apply to orders to individual addresses of less than €100, otherwise delivery is free.

Do you provide a Click & Collect service?

Yes, we provide a collection service on online orders. At Checkout you’ll have the option to proceed with delivery or Click & Collect prior to making payment. Collections are from our wine warehouse on the Tramore Road in Cork and can be made Monday to Saturday, 10.30am to 6.00pm. We’ll contact you by email to confirm when your order is ready to collect.

Do you provide gift vouchers?

We do, in denominations of €20 to €500, through our main website We can post you a physical voucher free of charge for gift presentation, or we can email you and your recipient with the details (great for last minute gifts that you may have overlooked!). Vouchers can be used on or in our warehouse shop in Cork, and have a 5 year expiry. You can purchase gift vouchers here.

Can I include a personalised gift message in my order?

You can! There’s a box just below your billing details at Checkout, leave your message there and we’ll take care of it. We also leave out any receipt or packing slips so the recipient can enjoy your gift without knowing how much you splashed out on it.

Can I select a specific date for delivery?

We cannot guarantee a specific date for delivery as once your order leaves our warehouse it is outside our direct control. However, most of our parcels get delivered the next working day after dispatch, so by all means request a preferred delivery date but just allow us a bit of leeway. Can I amend an order I have already made?

You can amend or cancel any order before it has been dispatched, either by accessing your account if you’ve created one, or by contacting us, quoting your order number. You can also cancel your order up to 14 days after dispatch, see our cancellation policy here.

Can I return my order?

You can return all or part of your order up to 14 days after you have received it, however you will be responsible for the safe return to us and all goods must be undamaged and in a resellable condition. You can also return the order in person to us at our Cork warehouse. A refund as appropriate will be provided within 7 days of receipt by us.
